Cost of living
When I look at the challenges facing our community today, the biggest hurdle is simply making ends meet.
Housing costs, healthcare costs, childcare costs, cars, gas, groceries are all out of control. New parents are having to buy formula on credit cards. Young people have lost hope in the American dream and are dangerously turning to socialism because of it.
Here's the thing, it's not really "inflation" or "corporate greed" at the root of it all. It's DEPRECIATION.
Right now, endless money printing and crippling national debt are making the dollar itself less and less valuable. This looks good if you own assets, like stocks or houses, because the prices go up. However if you don't, the paycheck you deposit each week is worth less and less.
Now it's nearly impossible for everyday people to get ahead. It feels like the American dream is being taken away from our children and grandchildren before they even have a chance to reach for it. I am standing up to fight this because we cannot let our future generations inherit a burden they did not create. We must cut spending across the board, actually eliminate waste, fraud, and abuse and not only shrink the deficit, we must shrink the debt. We must focus our efforts on making it easier for small businesses to start and thrive and reward employers that pay their employees more and cut and ultimately eliminate income taxes so you keep what you earn. The answer isn't more socialism, its less.
If elected, I will focus on restoring financial sanity and easing this pressure, so that we can keep the American dream alive right here in our communities. We deserve a future where hard work actually pays off again.
Affordability IS MY TOP PRIORITY
