second amendment
I believe the problem in America is not guns, it’s a culture that has become disconnected, dependent, and increasingly taught to rely on the government for protection instead of personal responsibility and strong communities. Decades ago, there were more guns in American households than there are today, yet mass violence was exponentially lower. The issue is not law-abiding citizens exercising their rights. The issue is a society that has lost trust, accountability, and respect for individual responsibility.
The reality is that no government agency can guarantee your safety. The courts themselves have repeatedly affirmed that police officers do not have a legal duty to protect individual citizens. That means every American must recognize a simple truth: you are your own first line of defense. I believe every responsible, peaceable citizen has the right to protect themselves, their family, and their property without unnecessary government interference.
As a Libertarian, I fully support the plain language of the Second Amendment: “shall not be infringed.” Our constitutional rights are not privileges handed out by bureaucrats, they are rights that belong to the people. Law-abiding Americans should not be punished, restricted, or treated like criminals for choosing to exercise those rights. Instead of disarming responsible citizens, we should be focused on addressing the cultural decline, broken communities, and failures that lead individuals toward violence in the first place.
I also believe many of the policies pushed in the name of “gun safety” have failed to make Americans safer. So-called “gun-free zones” have too often become targets for those who seek to do harm, while endless regulations continue to burden responsible gun owners rather than criminals. Americans deserve the freedom to defend themselves and the confidence that they are trusted by their own government, not feared by it.
A safer America will not come from stripping rights away from peaceful citizens. It will come from rebuilding a culture of responsibility, freedom, strong families, and self-reliance: the values that made this country strong in the first place.
shall not be infringed. that should about cover it.

I believe in the grassroots, small donations from real, working people who want to bring our troops home, bring our money home, and send a big message to Washington donors: KENTUCKY ISN'T FOR SALE.
